Stage 1 · Measure
On site, with exposure assessed.
Four kinds of aluminium work, all engineered and permitted where required.
Wind load depends on your address, not on a general figure — exposure near open water is different from a sheltered inland lot. We build to an approved product specification for your location, pull the permit and attend the inspection, because an unpermitted enclosure becomes the owner's problem at resale and with insurance.
On site, with exposure assessed.
To the design wind load for the address.
Pulled, with the approved specification.
Signed off by the authority.
Guard rail, or pool barrier.
Height, gaps, gate hardware.
To code, not to preference.
Attended through to sign-off.
An ordinary railing and a pool barrier are not the same product. Barrier height, gap dimensions, and self-closing self-latching gates with the latch at the required height are set by law, and an inspector checks each one. We build to those, and refuse designs that fail them.
Soffit is not just trim — it ventilates the attic, and blocking it to make a tidy line traps heat and moisture in the roof structure. We keep the required ventilation area, and we deal with rotten fascia rather than cladding over it, which is the shortcut that hides a problem for five years.
Fascia condition and existing ventilation.
Rotten timber replaced, not covered.
With ventilation area maintained.
Sized and pitched to actually drain.
What the lot and code actually allow.
Footings and uplift, to wind load.
Pulled before fabrication.
Through to sign-off.
People are often surprised that a carport needs a permit and engineering. It does: it is a roof structure in a hurricane zone, and an unpermitted one is both a code violation and a thing that becomes airborne. We quote it properly rather than cheaply.
